BSides Canberra is a community event. We want everyone to feel welcome, safe, and able to participate.

Be respectful

  • Be kind, patient, and inclusive.
  • Assume good intent, but own the impact of your words.
  • Respect personal boundaries and consent.

No harassment

Harassment, intimidation, discrimination, or unwanted sexual attention are not acceptable at any BSides Canberra activity, including talks, workshops, villages, social events, and online spaces.

Photography and recordings

  • Respect speaker and attendee preferences for photos and recording.
  • If someone asks not to be photographed, please comply immediately.

Reporting

If you experience or witness an issue, please contact the organisers or any staff member. If you would rather report privately, email [email protected].

What we do:

We will listen, take you seriously, and act promptly. Actions can include a warning, removing someone from a session, revoking a badge, or involving venue security or police where needed.
